London-based jazz singer Taylor Notcutt started her music career at the age of 7. After receiving vocal coaching from Nia Lynn, Taylor developed a passion for jazz, and was shortly afterwards awarded a place on the BMus Course to study jazz voice at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. While at Trinity Laban Taylor received vocal coaching from jazz greats such as Anita Wardell, Trudy Kerr and Brigitte Beraha. She graduated in 2017.

 

Alongside her studies Taylor has performed in a variety of venues across the country including Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The Spice of Life, The Vortex, Oliver's Jazz and Piano Bar, the Rye Jazz and Blues Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festival.

As well as performing jazz, Taylor performs a variety of styles, including pop, rock, blues and latin. As well as her ability a solo performer, Taylor’s other projects include a jazz duo, trio and quartet, a gypsy jazz band, and a four piece ballroom dance quartet. All projects reflect Taylor's eclectic taste and unique style.

 

Taylor’s band Pixie & The Gypsies have released two albums since 2018. Honey Trap topped the iTunes jazz chart back in 2018, whereas Caught In The Rain was in the top 100 pop albums in summer 2020.
